The Matthew M Williams x Zoom 004 Rust uses the Nike Zoom 004 runner that was first developed for the Tokyo Olympics as a base silhouette onto which current creative director of Givenchy, Matthew Williams has implanted his own blend of futuristic stylings to create a new-age runner with attention grabbing aesthetic. Retooling the original shape, the silhouette boasts an exaggerated almost exo-skeleton-like framework, clad with layers of metallic silver components sliced throughout a breathable Flyknit upper for an avant-garde look. Dipped almost exclusively in a dark maroon colourway that exists across the multi-textured finish of the shoe's upper, mildly contrasted by a miniature black swoosh emblem that blesses the quarter panels. Finally, a full-length Air midsole provides customary comfort and cushioning in keeping with the wider Nike ranges' consistently high standards.
